UDC Homeland Security STEM Program


Two professor/student teams representing UDC’s US Department of Homeland Security STEM program attended the Sixth International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences at the University of New Orleans, July 11-13, 2011. Dr. Angelyn Flowers and Stephen Brooks presented original research on “The Internet, Social Media and Extremist Ideologies”. Dr. Sinclair Jeter and Darris Taylor presented original research on a “Review of Second Life for Suspicious Activities Related to Possible Terrorists”. Their work will appear in the conference’s peer reviewed journal in the Fall.
