Spring 2011 Student Internship

Experience a rewarding and challenging internship with the Executive Office of the President (EOP) providing support to the President of the United States. THe EOP is comprised of The White House, Executive Residence, Office of the VIce President, Office of the United States Trade Representatives, Office of Science and Technology Policy, Office of the National Drug Control Policy, Office of Managament and Budget, Office of Administration, National Security Staff, Council on Environmental Quality, and Council of Economics Advisers. THe EOP has responsibility for tasks ranging from communicating the President's message to the American people to promoting our trade interests abroad. The Office of Administration is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated students to serve as unpaid student interns to assist in hte performance of its mission of providing support services for the President. OA views student interns as the future of the Federal workforce. The Office of Administration Student Internship Program provides the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. Pearticipants in the program will be exposed to the Federal work environment and will learn about the mission of the Office of Administration and its role and responsibility to the Executive Office of the President.

Spring 2011 internships are available within the Office of Administration with an anticipated begin date of Monday, February 7, 2011 and end date of May 6, 2011. The intern position lasts for a period of 89 days and interns are expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

Qualifications

All applicants applying to participate in the Unpaid Student InternshipProgram must meet the following requirements:

■Be a U.S. Citizen
■At least 18 years of age
■Enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student, taking at least half-time academic course load in an accredited four year program or 2 year program or in a post secondary level program.
■Be in good academic standing
